Dr. Mamta Parikh is the founder of MARA HEALING. She is a Board Certified Internist, Certified Wound Specialist Physician, Certified in Hyperbaric Medicine, and a Diplomat in Anti-Aging. With a decade of experience in both hospital and outpatient settings, she has successfully worked with a diverse range of patients, treating both wound care and hyperbaric patients. As a graduate of New York Medical College RUMC Hospital, she has authored and presented at conferences, showcasing her extensive knowledge in her field. Dr. Parikh employs a holistic approach to ensure that her patients heal optimally. By focusing on their overall medical health, she maximizes the chances for wounds to heal effectively and efficiently. This comprehensive strategy addresses both the physical and emotional aspects of healing, providing patients with the best possible outcomes.
As a native of Long Island, Dr. Parikh has spent most of her life here. In her leisure time, she enjoys traveling, working out, reading and spending time with her husband and two children. She looks forward to continuing her journey in healthcare, and supporting her patients in their path to healing.
Dr. Amit Shah is a national leader in the field of vascular surgery and limb salvage for over 15 years. He earned his medical degree from SUNY Downstate Medical Center College of Medicine and completed his general surgery residency and vascular surgery fellowship at Montefiore Medical Center and and Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He is boarded certified in vascular surgery and certified in wound care and hyperbaric medicine.
Dr. Shah is now bringing his vascular expertise to our wound care patients, specializing in complex vascular cases. He utilizes advanced therapies, including biologics and hyperbaric treatment, to promote wound healing and prevent amputations. An accomplished author, he has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals and has presented nationally on advanced limb salvage techniques and wound care. Dr. Shah is an invaluable asset to our wound care team, as he is one of the few Vascular Surgeons offering mobile services to wound care patients, ensuring they receive top-notch care where they need it most.
In his free time, Dr. Shah cherishes quality moments with his wife and two children. He enjoys traveling, staying fit, and participating in hands-on activities, such as building projects for their home and garden.
